TIDL hosts workshops for faculty year-round and at times in partnership with departments across campus. Workshops aim to address faculty interests and concerns regarding teaching practices, pedagogy, and technology tools.
Workshops at Highline are intended to address pressing, of-the-moment educational topics that faculty are buzzing about. Therefore, workshops are often planned in response to feedback and/or requests we receive from faculty about topics they want to learn about and discuss in community with each other. Recent faculty-requested workshop topics include:
AI That Takes Action: Countering Student Misuse and Exploring Educator Uses of Agentic AI
Meeting students where they’re at: Classroom engagement, accommodation, and support strategies for neurodivergent learners
Career Catalysis: Decreasing the Activation Energy of Your Job Search
Late Policies to Balance Your Workload & Support Student Success
TIDL also partners with departments across campus to ensure workshops include experts who are already doing the work.
